I knew going in it would not be easy based on my physical location now being on the West coast, and the time of year; however, you made it happen. Despite being across the country I was always kept abreast and you answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I knew that I made the right decision based on the marketing concept and the personal attention I received. You all did a fabulous job staging my home and the professional pictures online and brochures added a nice touch. In my gated community they do not allow regular real estate signs, so you ordered the custom sign required by the community association. NO OTHER agent ever did that, and my neighbors were even impressed.
You really shined at the settlement when the buyer’s agent was blatantly rude, and you kept your composure. Bonus points for negotiating the private sale of my furniture!

Nancy was truly instrumental in finding my investment property. From buying to selling in record time. I cannot praise her enough for her tireless work on my behalf. I believe without her extensive knowledge of real estate transactions, and the consistent professionalism displayed by her throughout the process, I would not have been as successful in securing a buyer for my property or selling my investment property for top dollar.

I purchased my first home this past December with Nancy and the experience was amazing! I had attempted to purchase a house twice before with other realtors and never felt comfortable.
Nancy was understanding, patient and listened to everything I needed and wanted. There wasn’t a question I had that she didn’t answer. She had tons of experience selling and buying in every neighborhood we looked. It was an amazing experience working with Eric and his wife Nancy, they are a spectacular team and very professional. Eric is knowledgeable about the Baltimore/surrounding areas and helped us understand the resale value. He listened to what we liked and wanted and helped us find multiple homes working around the clock making multiple contracts and changing them as needed until we found the ONE. With us being first time home buyers he helped us every step of the way giving us advice down to even the smallest of details. To give some insight my husband and I were extremely difficult seeing as we had completely different wants and needs, we needed to use our VA loan and were looking for a home that would pass inspections for that but had a low price range, to compensate for this we had a wide search area which he happily accommodated.
We worked with a few realtors before we found him and to be blunt he was the only one we found who was actively trying to work with us looking for properties that met our criteria and just showed genuine interest in helping us find a home. He has been quick to respond throughout the process and even after the finalization. “Everything We Wanted and More”
We met Eric and Nancy when we showed up to view a house that they were selling, an open house. That house wasn’t what we wanted but Eric and Nancy were. Even though we knew other Realtors, they were approachable and so knowledgeable. We told them we were actively searching for a new home, and so they decided they would work with us to help us find our dream home. Eric and Nancy were very attentive, knowledgeable and patient. We loved the fact that we had two people working to help us accomplish our goal. We never missed a deadline or rarely had to reschedule any appointments. If Eric was unavailable Nancy would be available, and vice versa. This is the best arrangement we could ask for. It doesn’t hurt that they both had great personalities which is a huge asset in their profession. We enjoyed working with them!
We provided a list of must haves and we got all we wanted except for one minor thing, and so much more than we planned for! They negotiated an unbelievable price and had instant equity when we settled. A huge win any way you look at it. Eric and Nancy also helped us to find tenants for the house we owned/vacated. The property was rented within a week of listing! Thanks to their diligence and working with our schedules to review applications and respond in a timely fashion.

“New Build Negotiation”
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with the Horne & Horne Team for the purchase of our new home. Nancy and Eric Horne was referred to us via some friends whom we trusted, that had just worked with them in buying and renting out their home As a result, we were fortunate to not have to search for a realtor. Once we met with The Horne & Horne Team, and we were informed of their vast knowledge and years’ experience we felt secure doing business with them.
The Horne’s are a husband and wife team, but our home purchase took place with Nancy. Although, if Nancy was unavailable, Eric could step in without skipping a beat. We approached the home buying process with an open mind as long as the price was right. Honestly, nothing surprised my husband and I more as when Nancy suggested a new build since we had some time before we wanted to move and she could negotiate a great price. We decided on new construction vs. an existing home. We had no idea how a realtor could be helpful in new construction purchase but Nancy showed us in many ways that she was invaluable to the entire process. She assisted with the negotiation of lowering our good faith payment, receiving more incentives upfront at no cost to us, and locking in our preferred closing date.
Nancy was always made herself available when we needed her to answer questions, accompany us for meetings, and participate in conference calls to speak on our behalf. The home building process can be long and very overwhelming which include the multiple details that must be addressed. My husband and I were grateful to have her support during a very complicated process. We love our home and feel we got everything we wanted and then some. We could not have been able to accomplish that without the help and Nancy and The Horne Team. We will refer them just like a friend referred us to them.

*Selling the Impossible*
I first listed my home with a realtor team who led me to believe that they would be able to sell my house very fast. When we met, they did not give any suggestions in terms of staging, they took the pictures with their cell and my house was online within hours. As a result of skipping out on this step, my house sat on the market for almost a YEAR, and did not sell. My house was priced extremely below value. In fact, if it sold, I would have had to bring funds to closing to pay off my loan. There were no open houses scheduled, etc… as a last resort, the realtor finally recommended that I just rent my property. I finally ended the contract and decided that the time was not right.
I received numerous flyers in the mail from other realtors and teams, all the big name,, countless phone calls, but a visit by Eric Horne would change everything. He is extremely pleasant and his demeanor is inviting. He did not make wild promises, he simply stated facts. His approach (and Nancy too) was simply give us a chance. “We know we can sell this, we have been doing this for years, when other agents fail.” I decided I had nothing to lose.
A meeting was scheduled with Nancy who came in and made a detailed list of what needed to be changed in order to get the most value for my home, and kept in my tight budget. I would encourage any seller that once you receive the list, just make the changes. Ask no questions.
Upon listing my home, I instantly had several showings, they scheduled several open houses, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. I always felt like selling my home was their priority, (even though I’m sure they have other clients). Throughout the process, they answered any questions that I had. I personally like the fact that Nancy and Eric work as a team. I felt like I had two realtors for the price of one. ? Eric and Nancy are a great team. Eric showed me several homes that I was considering purchasing, while Nancy would be busy on the “grind” making sure that overall, I was getting the best deal ever. Nancy was always with me. She came and sat with me while various steps in the process were being conducted. For example, the day of my appraisal, I needed to be home for another reason, and she came over to meet the appraiser, and after we talked about restaurants and where we would celebrate. She knows how to ease your mind and she takes all the worries from her clients.
Why do I say they sell the impossible? I personally thought my house had a lot of flaws, but Nancy quickly turned what I thought were flaws into opportunities for curb appeal and selling nuggets. In fact, I feel like they sold my house for more than what I ever imagined I would.
Eric and Nancy are a great team, the absolute best! I’m happy that Eric initially left me the flyer and followed up with a visit. I’m now in my dream home that Nancy went above and beyond to find for me and make sure I settled into. She actually knocked on doors (with approval) in my dream neighborhood until she found one ready to sell. Because of her persistence, close attention to detail, “shark-like” zeal to always fight for her clients, I sold my home, am in the BEST house, and made enough profit for a great down payment.
I would use Horne & Horne if I ever plan to sell again, but seeing how this is my “forever home”, all I can offer at this point is my review and referrals, which I just referred my coworker. The Horne’s are an asset to anybody looking to buy or sell.
